been very busy making valentine art...here's my contribution to my sis'
itty bitty vintage valentine swap. i was sorta in a slump...so many things on my mind that i had a hard time coming up with something sweet. i knew that i wanted to incorporate my love of France but i was so unsure of what to do. my darling sis sent over some cutesy vintage valentine images to use for this project. i saw the lil' french-like gal holding a heart briefcase and fell in LOVE...
you see...this lil' gal was saying something like:
"if you be my valentine, i'll send my paint + brush" not sure what that means but...
it inspired me to create 30 sweet lil' itty bitty valentine pages...
i first made 120 hearts and scalloped half of them, stamped some French words (with a stamper block of French words) ...

cut and pasted the eiffel tower and the lil' gal to 30 hearts...
this here is the back page:
i ran out of the darker blue paper so i used the striped blue one to complete the 30 pages...since the economy is sooooo bad...i went shopping down in my basement studio...(as my dh would say- 'your warehouse'...) and found this pretty roll of pink satin ribbon...it was about an inch wide...perfect to make pretty bows!
i bought that adorable pink coffee/tea cup/lil' plate set at a gorgeous French store in the Windy City's Downtown district...'P.O.S.H.'
that beautiful store is one of my FAVOURITES!!! they have the most unique French type of products...and the place is as dreamy to look and be in...as all the products are!

it was fun making this one (even if it took me what seemed like a millennium)...i found an effiel tower clipart image, hearts shaped flowers that i made into balloons by adding some lines and adding 'je t'aime' to her lil' board, changing the lil' one's eyes to heart-shapes, adding glitter here and there...
just goes to show you with some elbow grease, determination and
a whole LOT of creativity...will definitely inspire you to make a whole lot of lil' sweetness...
can't wait to see the whole Itty Bitty Valentine Book...it's going to be incredible...i'll be able to hold it this weekend as i'll be spending some much deserved time with my sis, my lil' Shioban and spending time antiquing and discovering special places up North! go over here...to see more beautiful Vintage Valentine Pages! Merci beaucoup, sweet Reya for hosting another magical itty bitty book swap...this is going to be simply FABULOUS!!!
Bonne Nuit!
